UP Scholarship DSC Setting

UP Scholarship DSC setting involves installing DSC drivers (e.g., Watchdata PROXKey), downloading capicom.dll, and registering the library via Windows command prompt, generally in Internet Explorer 8+ or Microsoft Edge in IE mode. The process requires a USB token for signing applications. 

Steps for UP Scholarship DSC Setup:

1. Install DSC Drivers: Install the driver for your USB token (e.g., ProxKey) on your computer.
2. Install CAPICOM: Download and install capicom.dll to handle digital signing. Copy capicom.dll and Interop.CAPICOM.dll to C:\Windows\System32 (32-bit) or C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (64-bit).
3. Register CAPICOM: Right-click the Windows-32bit or Windows-64bit batch file in the extracted folder and select “Run as administrator” to register.
4. Browser Setup: Use Internet Explorer 8.0 or above, or Microsoft Edge in IE mode. Ensure active scripting and ActiveX controls are enabled.
5. Register on Portal: Go to the official UP scholarship website, log in, and navigate to the DSC registration section to link your USB token. 

Key Requirements:

• Windows-based PC with USB port.
• Valid Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) USB token.
• Java (32-bit) latest version.
