Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) registration on the Vahan portal is primarily for authorized motor vehicle dealers, transport authorities, and officials. To register, users must first install their DSC token driver and the Vahan DSC Signer utility on their PC, then map their certificate through the official portal.
DSC Registration and Setup Process
Step 1: System and Driver Setup
Before logging into the portal, ensure your system is properly configured.
- Token Driver: Insert your DSC USB token into your computer and install the corresponding USB driver.
- Java & Signer Utility: Install the latest version of Java and download the Vahan DSC Signer Service from the official portal’s System Requirement For Vahan Parivahan knowledge base.
- Run Signer: Ensure the signer service is running in the background of your system.
Step 2: Accessing the Portal
- Navigate to the Parivahan Vahan Service.
- Click “Register” and fill in your details (Full name, Email ID, Mobile No., State) to create your One-Time User ID.
- Verify your account via the activation link and OTP sent to your registered email, then create a secure password.
Step 3: Registering and Mapping the DSC
- Log in to the Parivahan Vahan Service portal using your credentials.
- Navigate to the “Dealer Point Registration” or “User Profile” section depending on your role.
- Select the option to “Register DSC”.
- Allow the portal to detect the active DSC Signer.
